1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition
A special model option available only in the final year of the C3 (1968-1982 third generation Corvettes), the Collector's Edition was a special RPO (regular production option) that featured unique paint, interior, wheels and opening glass rear hatch. Because of the high price tag, fewer 1982 Collector's Editions were produced than 1967 427ci big block Corvettes. In recent years, the high mortality rate of '82 CEs have resulted in prices appreciating rapidly.

As with all 1982 Corvettes, this example utilizes the Cross-Fire Injected (known as TBI - throttle body fuel injection on millions of Camaros, Silverados and Suburbans!) 350-ci V8 mated to Chevy's bulletproof 700R4 four speed automatic. Rated at 200 horsepower and 285 foot-pounds of torque at just 2,800 rpms, the combination made the Corvette one of the fastest accelerating new cars of the year.
Paint/Body : This fully-loaded Corvette features the Collector's Edition's special paint with gradient decals This car is extremely well-preserved original. Paint shines nicely and while it is among the best original paint Collector's Edition C3s we have seen, on very close inspection, as one would expect, the car displays limitations of contemporary materials with some stone chip repairs.
Interior : Leather seats recently reupholstered to OEM standards. Carpet and rest of interior in very nice original condition.

Mechanical : Everything works! AC converted and blows super cold. Brakes, steering and engine all work very nicely.

The view from the driver's seat cannot be matched by anything less than a Jaguar XKE. Driving this car is a treat. All acceleration, braking and handling properties are better than on any other many C3s I have owned or driven.

If they do not pass there will be NO additional cleaning costs charged to you.

The above price includes NATA Approved Asbestos Testing on all West Coast vehicles. If they test positive for asbestos only in the brakes, there will be an A$400 fee for the removal, installation of new brake pads and reinspection. The A$400 fee does not include the cost for the new brake pads. If asbestos is found elsewhere we will consult with you what options you have to move forward.

We are working on a similar solution for the East Coast vehicles.
